MY LAB / SHACK

Hello everyone !
I'm feeling privileged to have a home lab . The lab does not boast a large array of equipment , however I have some useful tools and other gear with me . Below is a pic of my lab / ham shack
A long shot !

Closeup view !
I have the following equipment in my lab/shack . The list is incomplete :)

  1. A 20MHz CRO ( L&T built , circuit is based on a GOULD OS300 CRO) - provided by Sri Jayakrishnan Divakaran who was my professor @ GCEK.
  2. A RTLSDR dongle - helps me to view spectrum from ~30MHZ to ~1500Mhz and perform demodulation of various signals . Not a professional device; however a great device for its price.
  3. A homebrew DDS VFO (0 ~ 40 MHz)
  4. A DMM and an analog MM.
  5. Three power supplies - a simple  homebrew 1A, 2-15V variable supply and an old PC SMPS which is useful for low frequency applications and high power applications. Besides there is a 14V,2A unregulated linear supply for power amplifier testing. However I need to improve its design.
  6. A homebrew freq counter - way out of specs !
  7. Programmers for AVR and 8051
  8. A PC (old one , only 512MB RAM) , now running Linux.
  9. Some components :)
  10. Two old TV sets and some radios .
  11. Misc stuff like spanners , hacksaw blades , pliers etc , drilling machine etc :)
  12. Lots of junk PCBs
I own a Baofeng UV-3R which is the only ham rig that I have with me now . I have a 40m dipole and a 2m GP . They are not SWR matched , so they are not the best . However , I could reach VU2MJJ at Tirur with 2W and the GP when conditions were excellent . The 40m antenna is not in the best condition due to the presence of trees.

2m GP antenna with RG-58 cable to shack

73s !
